If there is a stain, don't use hot water; soak it in cold water in Dawn overnight to removed the grease, rinse, blot the affected area with a mix of white vinegar and water, let dry. If necessary, apply Nature's Miracle (you get it at pet stores)after the rug has dried if there is still an odor. Nature's Miracle dissolves enzymes and does not need to be rinsed. Diluted Simple Green can also take the place of Dawn. Trust me, you'll get to keep the rug.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980269.post-71537082989663679262008-09-18T20:37:00.000-05:002008-09-18T20:37:00.000-05:00poor kitty : (poor ruggy : (poor jackie : (poor kitty : (
poor ruggy : (
poor jackie : (Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980269.post-55126924721661984992008-09-15T11:59:00.000-05:002008-09-15T11:59:00.000-05:00A couple of years ago our dog Yongy Bongy Bo manag...A couple of years ago our dog Yongy Bongy Bo managed to eat half a small jar of Vaseline his big sister Eefy obligingly chewed open for him (but declined to eat). I had to follow the poor little guy around all the next day with a wet washcloth. It is a very porous rug and the fat permeated it, so I don't think I can clean it out.

Thanks, though.adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09810547322546039254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22980269.post-11034460074381322732008-09-13T09:49:00.000-05:002008-09-13T09:49:00.000-05:00Jack, it shouldn't be too difficult to cut out the...Jack, it shouldn't be too difficult to cut out the offending area of the carpet and do a patch, especially if the carpeting is relatively new. Do you have any scraps left? If not, contact the dealer from whom you bought the carpeting.

You may have just trained the cat to stay off the countertops!

GrannyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
