We Got Robbed!

That’s right. Bloggers unite. Smug old rag-man Tony Messenger put the screw to us last night at the Springfield blogger’s meeting. According to his blog:

Tony Messenger, new Editorial Page Editor of the News-Leader, is getting to know the community and needs your help. Get Mugged when you join Tony for a cup of coffee. Talk to Tony about issues in the community that are important to you. Tony will then write about your conversation on this blog. If you live in the News-Leader readership area and want to get mugged by Tony, e-mail him and set up a time for him to meet you and a couple of your friends for coffee. He'll even bring the cups. In your e-mail, include "Get Mugged" in the subject line.

Uh, huh. I see how it is. Well all I have to say to that punk Messenger is:

I didn’t get Mugged
I got Robbed.
I’ll fix your red wagon,
Cause I have a blog.

He actually explained it last night. The HR department will not have his mugs for a month. Maybe will get one next month. Plus, last night, he was just a local blogger.

Hosed. Utterly hosed. Because two days after not mugging the bloggers -- and telling LL that the "HR department will not have his mugs for a month," here's Tony's first mugging.

Maybe he's afraid we'd sell the mugs on eBay.

Yeah, but how does one report NOT being mugged?

By not making a report?

Oh, man, and here I was saying great things about him and he stiffs us. Remember a mug topographically is just a plain donut. Not even a double chocolate.

Maybe next time we can make *HIM* sit next to Zack rather that that Brothers guy. At least stick him for a tab or two.

Oops ... make that topologically ... I need an editor ...
